WasteWatch promises to provide unmatched service and the best possible options for recycling or disposal for our customers waste streams.  We are committed to protecting your liability and our environment, so that we can all enjoy the great Pacific Northwest.

Waste Watch inc is a fully licensed and insured hazardous waste transporter that operates in the Pacific Northwest. We offer the most advanced recycling/disposal options for waste water treatment, fuels blending, incineration, stabilization and landfill.

We are not about cutting corners, or using questionable disposal practices or facilities. Our goal is to provide you with cost effective environmental services while minimizing any future liabilities. Wherever possible, we will offer several disposal and packaging options and allow the customer to make the final decision.

Disposal descriptions

Fuels Blending

Wastes that contain BTU value are sent to permitted cement kilns where they are used as fuel to produce the cement. These kilns are highly regulated and monitored by Federal and State authorities to insure environmental compliance.

Incineration

Wastes that contain little to no BTU value or pose a more significant threat to the environment are typically incinerated. Thermal destruction is designed to destroy greater than 99.99% of the material. Residual ash is periodically cleaned from the furnace, tested for hazardous ingredients and treated to eliminate the threat to the environment.

Stabilization and Landfill

When recycling and thermal destruction are not viable options, we have stabilization. This category is for wastes that do not contain BTU value or will not be destroyed via incineration. Such materials typically contain lower levels of heavy metals and organic matter. In most cases, the waste is mixed with an aggregate and tested to confirm no hazardous ingredients leach from the material prior to disposal in the landfill.

Recycling

Waste materials that hold residual value will be sent to recycling. Such items include batteries, fluorescent lights, ballasts, organic matter and mercury.

Polychlorinated Biphenyls

PCB regulated material is destroyed through thermal destruction. Oil from older transformers, light ballasts, older specialty paints and some older high temperature hydraulic oils fit this category. In the case of small PCB light ballasts, the metals may be recycled and the PCB material will be destroyed.

Waste Water Treatment

Liquid wastes containing low levels of organics, acids and caustics can be treated to EPA standards, rendered non hazardous and discharged to sanitary treatment plants. Treatment methods will vary depending on the hazardous constituents and their levels.

Lab Packing

This type of waste typically comes from laboratories where there are numerous small containers, usually less than 5 gallons in size. These chemicals will vary in container size and hazard class and may be used or unused product. Disposal technology used will vary based on the type of chemical and EPA/State protocol.

Sampling and Field Services

Service and response to our customers’ needs is very important to us. We realize from time to time it is necessary to evaluate a particular existing or new waste stream. Waste Watch can provide the necessary containers’, paperwork and sampling of the waste stream, and prepare the sample for testing. We will review the generating process with our customer to determine the appropriate analysis.

Waste Watch Technicians can provide consolidation and packaging services to meet DOT requirements and offer economical disposal options. We can also provide the necessary DOT shipping containers, including drums, cubic yard boxes, totes and buckets.
